Turning 9 and 5

These Birthday beauties had a party to celebrate their August Birthdays last weekend. They turned 9 & 5! We were able to enjoy playing outside for a while before the storms came. Luckily, we just got a lot of rain - not the damage that was just a few miles down the road.

Looking fancy is important when opening gifts.

Zoo trip

We all finally made it to the zoo. The kids know that when Daddy comes, we get to do all of the cool stuff, like ride the train.

Alyssa was excited to see her favorites, the giraffes, so close

The polar bears were sleeping, but the seals were pretty active. Too bad they didn't make it into the picture

Cameron thought the barn was stinky

We also got to see the dinosaurs! Cameron carried around the zoo magazine announcing their arrival until it fell apart. SO excited to see them

Cameron talked a good talk, but he was pretty terrified. He refused to get out of the wagon. I was impressed by his identification of the dinosaurs (thanks Dino Dan).

Examining the fountain. Making wishes.

This bird hopped right up to the kids

Welcome Cousin Bentley!

We were so happy when Auntie Pam had her baby! Bentley Scott Rietz was born on July 29, 2011. A little early, but perfect just the same. We were so excited to meet him in the hospital.

Amber and Morgan are thrilled to have a baby brother

Happy Auntie

All of the cousins got their turn to hold the baby

Alyssa picked out a special outfit and headband to meet her newest cousin

Cameron sure did hold on tight to Bentley

Rietz family of FIVE!

Daddy was in Seattle for work when Bentley was born. As soon as he got home, he got to visit his Godson.

We are so happy to have Bentley here, safe and healthy, and look forward to watching him grow!
